Providing basic services to Flint’s homeless, poor, and mentally ill.
Warmth, Water, Wellness.
Our Mission is to provide a daytime warming center and other basic services to Flint’s homeless, poor, mentally ill as well as hard to serve adults; through community cooperation, we will provide these services in an atmosphere of dignity, hope, and unconditional acceptance.
Although Flint has several homeless shelters that give people a warm place to sleep at night, the homeless generally are left out in the cold during the day. The day shelter opened its doors in April 2009 and operates from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
